Hurricane Florence is coming. That much is certain. However, unless weather conditions do not permit, our Winecoff School Road Market will be open at its normal time on Saturday morning from 8am – noon. The worst conditions aren’t expected to arrive in our area until Saturday afternoon. Of course, that could change. If it does, we will let you know on our Twitter and Facebook Pages.
All vendors will make the decision on Saturday on whether to come or not. We’ve contacted many, and with the exception of two, all plan on being at the market Saturday.
Of those who have confirmed are:
Honeysuckle Hill Bee Farm – will have Elderberry Syrup; a cold/flu, allergy, immune booster. All organic ingredients with local honey and Ceylon Cinnamon. Sad to say, but flu season has started. They will also have their creamed honey (great for sore throats!) and varietals.
Miller & Sons Produce – they will bring half the amount of goods that they normally have. Such as: different varieties of apples, butternut and acorn squash, corn, peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, okra, shelled peas, butterbeans, and green beans.
Street Fare Farm – peppers, eggplant, okra, microgreens, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and eggs.
Stony Run Highlands Farm – Beef patties, ground beef, brisket, steaks, and roasts.
Curt’s Kettle Corn told us they will be there, weather permitting.
Some others who could be there: Femme Artistique, Nancy and her handmade pottery, Creekside Farms, Matias Produce, Yow’s Farm, Lucky Fish Seafood and more!
Our 3-6 Harrisburg Monday Market is expected to be open, again, weather permitting. Miller & Sons Produce will be on hand and you can likely find Naturrific, Curt’s Kettle Corn, T&D Farms, Honeysuckle Bee Farm, and more.
